How do you get through the day??
I try to think that there are other things out there and this will pass!

I just got a pop-up ad which I quickly shut down...But before I did I happened to catch the tag-line: 'Live a life without limits'
I think it was an ad for some home-based business information...
That would be nice.
ETA: Such a novel idea.

Well, first I pass it by staying in LIW any time I can .
I'm going back to school at the end of the month to get my masters so I can get out of the business world (just not for me). While I have three more years that I'll be stuck here, I know that there is an end in sight. Maybe start thinking about what would make you happy at a job and go out and get it!

My end is FINALLY coming in 2 weeks (Aug 20th) after 11 years.....then I'll be student teaching

I've been fed-up, but will start a new job on 8/23. All I can suggest is start looking for someother place to work at. It took me a little over 4 months to find one. Good luck.

keep my head low in my little cubical - make sure all my $it is together so I wont ever get called to the carpet, stay on LIW as long as I can to stay sane.
I swear some days I just cant take it here. I feel like Peter in office space 'can you just zonk me out so I don't know that I am working?'

I love doing my job (I am a cosmetic chemist). It is a lot of fun creating new products It is like baking cakes all day. I sometimes HATE the company I work for, not my job though. The fact that I work for a start-up puts a lot of extra stress on me because I am doing 20 jobs! Even though I like what I do I don't think it is something I want to do for the rest of my life. I feel like it is unimportant and I am making no diference in the world (besides sparing someone a few wrinkles). I might go back to school next year for nursing. Since I already have my bachelors in biochemistry it will take only 1 year to become an RN.

thats a good idea - i was always interested in nursing. The pay is good, and I would love to work a few 12 hrs shifts a week so i could be home w the kids the rest of the week!

Thats the plan In about 5 years from now I am hoping to be on three 12 hour shifts a week... then its baby time!

Unfortunately I have to wait until Fh and I get into a new house to start looking at other employment....
I understand that in larger companies you really are just a number... but I was so hoping the immediate department I work in wasn't like that too. If anyone needs me I'll be on monster.
