Those of you that used table cameras did you get them all back?

I went to a wedding where some of the adults let the children handle the cameras and that annoyed me a little.... Anyway did you have a substancial amount of nice pics, or was it not even worth it?

I haven't gotten married yet, but what I did was number the cameras, so at least i will know what table's camera I am missing.

I didn't have children at my wedding, so didn't have that problem.. I got ALL of my cameras back, and the pics were great..

My wedding was in June and I haven't even gotten them developed. My little cousin was using a lot of them and can only imagine what he took. I also had five cameras missing at the end of the night.

I got all but one back, and the pics were great, but most had only about half taken. But it was great to see the people at the tables interacting, and there were some pics of things that happened that weren't in my proofs or video.

We got all but one back. Most of the cameras were fished by DH's aunt that went around taking pics to finish up the film. Any left overs we used the following day at a brunch. We got some great pictures from them and glad we had them.

I had 2 missing at the end of the night. Wound up both my SIL's (of all people!!!) took them home because they wanted to get copies of some of the pictures. But it took some detective work....by getting the pictures developed I was able to figure out which were missing and then had to ask around. One SIL gave me a set of pictures and the other said she hadn't realized she took it but by then all her pictures were all mixed up and she gave me copies of whatever she had.

I got a lot of great shots. But I also did the scavenger hunt things and it got some guests to get creative. My photographer took mostly pictures of DH and I and family and bridal party so some of the camera pictures were the only ones I had of many of my guests. It was nice. Also, they captured things the photographer did not. I do recommend saying something to not take pictures from too far away. THose did not come out well at all.

I got them all back. Just make someone resposible to pick them up. I was very happy I did it. Like everyone has said, you get things that the photographer doesn't.

Honestly, some of our guests didn't even finish the film in the camera so I still have a few cameras sitting around my house until I finish the film. I also did not get all the cameras back, I think guests left with them.

No I didn't get all the cameras back. No big deal. Some of the pictures were dark and not fully used. It cost me over $100 to get them developed.

It was worth it. I do have 3 full albums filled with pictures. It was so great because my photographer didn't capture a lot of my second family and friends.

I also had kids use my cameras (ages 6 to 13). I just chalked it up to a fun time. To me it was worth it.

I havent had my wedding yet..but ill tell ya what I do know..I know taht soem people are putting the table numbers on the cameras..that way if one is misisng..you know which table took it..Ive herad soem negative things about table cameras..but My sister had them at her wedding and the pics came out GREAT!!! Really nice..and she wouldnt have those if the cameras wereent on the table. Im definately using them..if they come out dark..Ill touch them up on print shop or paint shop..I want pictures of everything. The Photographer can only be in one place at a time..I want every littttle thing..and I think the table cameras will capture things that i wouldnt normally see.

Just wondering -

Are all the same or does one brand take better quality pictures?

My hall is having the wait staff pick them up for me about 1/2 hour before the party ends.... This way we get them all back!

Make sure you only get Kodak cameras, that advertises Kodak film. Just a FYI, the majority of these camera are recycled and resold to various manufacturers. Hence you don't know what kind of film they are using in your cameras. I bought my at BJ's, even though they were all in brand new packages when I looked at them and opened them up I could tell they were recycled and some of the flashes didn't work.

Also another FYI, they even have disposable digital cameras now.

I got all but 2 of the cameras back. One of the tables did hand it to a 5 year old at the wedding to take the pictures, and they are priceless. Some of the funniest sweetest pictures I have ever seen.
