those of you using patken

do you know who your photographer is for the day of? when i went for engagement pics they said they would let me know about a month later, but its almost been 3 months and no word. I had heard good things about Steve and requested him, but he was booked for my date :( I want to know who will do our shots!

I also have just seen pics from 2 other friends who used them, one i liked (very photo-journalistic and artistic) and the other that i didn't like (too many portraits) and now I am freaking out a little bit. I know what photographers they both used and I am going to see if I can get the other one that I liked.

One other thing I just found out - both girls paid less than half of what I am paying - so pissed. They didn't have video, but seems like everything else is the same. How much should video cost? Is this normal??

Do you know of the better photographers there? I don't wanna hate my pictures :(

I am using Steve. He took our engagement pictures and we loved him so we told them that day that we wanted him and only him. He was available so they added it to our contract.

I have heard great things about Jesse and Vinny also. So maybe you can request one of them!

I'm using Jessie. She is AMAZING if you can get her...I know she's very popular and books quickly though. Vinny is her husband I believe, and I've heard great things about him as well. You should call them and put in a request and tell them you want to know who your photographer will be!

Thanks girls,I called Doug the owner and he is going to talk to me on Tuesday to set up who our photographer will be. I will definitely request Jessie since we have already asked for Steve and he is not available. I appreciate your feedback! Are you both doing video with them as well? Also are you having one or two photographers?

Im doing video also. We only have one photographer thru them. I have a zap photos thru our DJ

We used photo and video through Patken and i was just ok with Lee (my photog) but our videog mike was UNBELIEVABLE!!! I don't have my video yet but he was fun, kept us laughing, made sure the ask me throughout if there was anything i wanted filmed, set up some gorgeous shots for our photog and was genuinely a nice guy!
