Those of you who are having/have had biggish weddings...

How long did it take you from the time you got your invites til you mailed them out?

(Ie: folding, stamping, addressing, etc..)

I am starting to worry about time constraints.

We sent out about 165 invites - here was the timeline
ordered invites in late November
invites in by Dec
gave them to calligrapher in Jan, they were back in Feb (calligrapher was a family member so I wasn't pushy)
Put a few together everynight
had them all stamped at Post office by mid-late Feb

My advice to you is to get your parents and FIL to give you addresses ASAP. And don't take no for an answer! I am just getting addresses from mom.

If you are inviting a lot of people be aware of invites with ribbons. I had to cut, assemble and tie 275 invites. Lets just say this wasn't fun.

for us it was about a week - and I did the calligraphy myself with my MOH

We did a assembly line.. my whole family got involved and everyone had a job..

It took 6 ppl 2 hours to stuff and stamp 250 envelopes..

Now that's delegation!!!! I just ordered mine we are inviting about 200. I put a little too much stress on myself when I assigned only a two week interval between my RSVP date and big day.

We sent out 175. Me, my mom, and sister stamped the invites and response cards within 1/2 hour. Then the next day me and FH alone stuffed and sealed them within an hour. It took a LOT less time than I feared.
