When I make the appointment with my Internist I say I need a physical. They always seem to do everything (including blood work, blood pressure etc.) except a EKG which is typically only done on men during routine physicals

Hi Wendy!
My regular PCP does an annual and I just say 'I'm here for my annual'.
She does BP, blood tests for thyroid, maybe for cholesterol too, breast exam and pap. Looks at the eyes, hears, hands too for some reason.

My dr reminds me I am due for my physical - you just tell them you want a regular physical - it is normal practice to do one a year so they will know what you want. It is a full check up and blood work

I just call my PCP and say I need a physical and he does the following:
-complete blood workup -EKG -quick neuro test -urine test (chem strip for levels) -standard checkup (ear, eyes, throat, blood pressure)

My GYN did a full blood workup for me. She said that since they were going to take my blood for some testing that they could go ahead and to a full workup.
