Re: Those of you who made your own STD

My father made mine. He created it in Word, I think. They were the size of a business card that we put on a magnet.

I scanned in a Kim Anderson picture and just wrote

Save The Date

Re: Those of you who made your own STD

Does shutterfly allow you edit and put words on the picture. How did the picture look on a business card?

Re: Those of you who made your own STD

Ours are our favors for the engagement party. It's a CD, the cover being the save the date and the CD has a picture of me and FH, my parents wedding pic and his parents wedding pic on it, with about 12 love songs on it including pur parents wedding songs. The cover we made through Photoshop. The CD was burned through iTunes I'm not sure the program to burn the face of the CD though.
If your doing bussiness size magnets, you should be ableto lay them out through Word and add pictures to them. There should be a template for bussiness cards.
Hope that helps

Re: Those of you who made your own STD

I designed mine in Word and used the same directions below for mongrams :

To design your monogram in Microsoft Word:
Choose Insert -> Textbox. Type and format the letter the way you like it. Do this three times. Now click on all textboxes and choose Format->Textbox. Choose Color: No Fill (so you can overlap letters) and Line: No Line. Select all letters, right click, and choose Group to lock in the arrangement. You can now copy your image into Microsoft Paint and save in several formats, such as JPEG.
