Those of you who used Imagine Photography

How long did it take to get your proofs back? Does Lia have you come in to see them or does she send them to you? I mainly ask b/c I am headed back here to DC after the wedding and wasn't sure when we'd get to see the pictures...

Also, how do you work picking photos for the albums? Do you have to go in to meet with her or can you just decide what you want and call it in to her or something?

Allison, we did an engagement shoot with them (and we're the day before you with Imagine as well).

For engagement shoot, I asked Lia to send proofs to my work (b/c we have not so nice neighbors who may have stolen them). They were ready perhaps a month after the e-shoot...

I told her not to mail the negatives, b/c I didn't want them to get lost. But each proof is numbered on the back, so in theory, if you wanted to do your album over the phone, you probably can. I do think that Lia has an excellent eye for layouts and if I were in your shoes I would do the album layout in person (so wait a little longer, and do it over labor day or thanksgiving, when you are in the area, you know). But you can get proofs mailed, no problem.

Here's the thing...I MAY be back in NY the weekend of August 9-10 for a work function. If our proofs will be ready by then, DF (guess he'll be DH then! ) wants to come pick them up with me. Do you think we'd be safe in thinking they'd be done by Aug 9 if our wedding's July 6? Or should we see if she can RUSH the proofs and FedEx them to us and then we meet that weekend to work on layout...?

I need to book my trip for work tomorrow so I'm trying to figure out whether to come up on Saturday with DF or Sunday by myself (the event's on Sunday). I put a call in to Lia as well but haven't heard back from her yet...

Talk with Lia... She is probably running around developing all those May wedding proofs.

I think its reasonable to expect them to be done, especially if you say something ahead of time. But I would rush to make the album... I think it would be difficult to pick and you may need some time to do that. Lenny and I can't pick 1-2 pictures out of 110 or so for an enlargement... I don't know how we'll decide on the album She is really great with capturing moments, and of all those proofs, there is maybe 2-3 bad pictures...
