Those of you who were interested in TMJ treatments and activator method chiropractic

I just went to the chiro yesterday and within 10 seconds all of my jaw pain and cracking were GONE. It totally reinforced my love of chiropractic.

i have a question though...I don't have any pain in my jaw, but what does happen is everytime I open my mouth wide, the left side sort of pops out a bit...(the upper part of my jaw, towards the ear....if you put your fingers right in front of your ear and open wide, it pops out)...is this what TMJ is???

That's what happens to me when my jaw is misaligned too. Even when there's no pain there's also cracking in my ears... I think it's a tmj symmptom

Honestly if that's the only problem you have it may be the only problem you ever have. Some people have really chronic problems, for me I really don't even find it to be that big a deal. I have pain or cracking I go to the chiro and it's fixed like magic. Or maybe your jaw just got misaligned from getting hit (stop with those bar fights!!!!) or from sleeping on it the wrong way so it could be a one time thing and once you get tit put back into place you'll never have it again

seriously though, they said it was from my car accident?? I never noticed it before, so I can really argue.
they even fitted me for one of those mouth pieces to use at night...which of course I never did!! or else I would've probably choked in my sleep

my dh doesnt seem to mind that I can open wide now!! but thats another subject for the OT board!!!

It could be. I'd try the chiro. My mom had this horrible night guard thing, and she was able to toss it once she started going to the chiro. Fh was supposed to buy once for like $300 and now he goes to the chiro too. All better now.

Really anything canc ause your joints to get out of whack..defintiely a car accident can...but it can be put back with chiro. I know it sounds scary, but it SO isn't AT ALL.
