OK. so i've never owned a pair. actually, i've never even tried on a pair. i kinda think they are ugly and i never wanted to be tempted by how comfortable everyone says they are
okay....so now that its getting cold out, i am starting to wonder....is it worth it? should i get a pair?
why are they so great?
also, silly question - but do you wear them with or without socks?

I wear mine with socks, and that is only b/c I don't want them to get nasty...
They are super comfy, and great just to throw on when you are going to run out in the cold!

They are not supposed to be worn with socks. They sell replacement soles for when they get gross.
I don't wear them with socks. My feet would just get to hot. From an orthopedic standpoint, they are one of the worst shoes to wear due to their lack of arch support. Right up there with dollar store flip flops.

i love my uggs! i too think they are ugly but they are comfy and warm and its easier to just throw on uggs sometimes than figure out what shoes to pair with an outfit
i usually wear my uggs without socks. the lining is comfy without socks and keep your feet warm.
if you are going to buy uggs def get a size smaller than you normally wear!

I have the ones that have the zipper in the back and they are a light tan.. i them so much cause they are so comfortable at some point fashionable goes out the window and comfort is in!

I never got into the Uggs craze either. I hate the way they look when they get really dirty...can they be cleaned easily? Either they can't, or people just don't care that they're no longer tan and more black and brown. I'd personally wear socks with them because I'd fear my feet would sweat and that would gross me out.

ITA! I wera mine with socks also because I don't like to wear any shoes without socks (or knee highs, so stockings, etc.) I love them and would love to get them in another color...I have to save some money first

I NEVER wanted to get a pair of uggs and now I can't live without them. They are SO warm. Not the best for your feet like a previous posted stated but they are so warm I LOVE THEM! I get a new pair every Christmas. I don't wear socks with them.
Some things to know though, I have the ones with the buttons on the side. SO cute BUT after a couple wears the top of the boot folds down since there is nothing to hold them up. AND the knitted ones I've heard get smelly from the sweat and stuff so make sure you air them out. AND 1 last thing...MAKE SURE YOU WEATHER PROOF THEM!

I was highly against Uggs until last year. DH bought me a pair for Christmas because he assumed I would want them. They are unbelievably comfortable and so easy to just throw on to run errands or whatever. I do wear mine with socks most of the time but I have also worn mine without and they are just as warm! I would definitely get a pair, it's supposed to be a harsh winter!

technically you are not supposed to wear socks. It feels sooo nice without socks and they have a cleaning kit to keep them fresh. However, I wear socks because it makes me double warm and it keeps them nicer.
They are soooo warm. They increase my body temperature a lot. They are soooo comfortable. You can wear them with or without socks. They can go with almost any outfit because you can wear them over pants or over leggings and tights but you can also wear them under pants.
I love them. i can't even describe it. I thought they were sooooo ugly... but then i tried a pair and it was just so perfect for my feet!! and now i like how they look with my clothes and style so to me, i think they are cute and they are the go-to thing for me to wear in the fall. They are no waterproof which stinks so in heavy rain or slushy snow I don't/can't wear them, but on a brisk day they are perfect.

They can be cleaned. they have a great cleaning kit. if you buy it and use it your uggs look as good as new.

I think they are kinda ugly, too, and I held out for as long as I could. But on New Years Eve I was freezing and only had heels and we were leaving a party at my friends house and she gave me a pair of Uggs to wear home. They were outrageously warm and soft and comfy and I was sold. Get 'em, you'll love 'em! And they actually look kinda cute under jeans, IMO!
ETA: I don't always wear socks, but 90% of the time, I do.

I don't own uggs.. I own bearpaws and I love them!!! they're cheaper and not as fluffy as uggs. DH was going to buy me a pair of uggs on our honeymoon.. but when I tried them on they looked and felt weird... but it could be because I'm used to my BPs. which ps I'm wearing now and love- and i'm sockless

get a pair of classic tall uggs! wear them with socks. youre not 'supposed' to, but every yr i have to buy a new pair even though the ones i have look brand new cuz they SMELLL sooo bad lmao
actually when u 1st get them, wear them without socks for a day just to experience it. then wear them with thin socks.

I love my uggs!!! They're sooo comfy!!! Word of advice if you get them- they run big so get them one size smaller. If you can get a kids size too- they're cheaper.
I wear them with socks just because it keeps me even warmer!

I thought they were repulsive and now own 3 pairs and plan to ask for a new pair for Christmas.
Ugg outlet in Riverhead and ebay is where you can get them cheap.
