my invites are not a pocketfold and i want to put a ribbon around the response envelope but she suggested that its best if i tie them on myself. is anyone doing this? or is that nuts

what are the options if you don't do pocketfolds? also with a ribbon in the middle to tie the cards together, there is a problem that it may not make it through the mail sorters

its the regular invitation, then its 3 cards in the response envelope and all of that goes in the outer envelope. Thats a good point about the mail sorters, but i was thinking of getting them hand canceled. im kinda spastic too so i'm afraid to buy the ribbons and then they come out like a kindergartener did it.

my invites are the same. regular invite with 3 card inserts. i did not get any ribbon, i just don't like how it makes the envelope bulge out.
also mail goes into two sorting machines. 1 at the post office you mail them from (that's where most people get them hand canceled) & then a second sorting machine when it gets to the destination zip code post office. all hand canceling does is eliminate the first machine.

you're absoltuely right ... thats how my sample (that i mailed myself) got ruined.... the bump on the middle from the ribbon got stuck
