Those white stone/bricks that line the driveway...
Does anyone have an idea what that costs to have done? You know, you get them to outline your front yard and on either side of your driveway?
I really want to do that (it just makes the yard look neater) but haven't the slightest who to call or what a possible price would be.
Any recommendations? TIA!!

They're called belgium blocks. There are a lot of places that do them, try the yellow pages.

sounds like somthing i would attempt to do myself rather than spend the $$$ on someone to do it for me, do you have any pics of what you want?

Unless you're experienced, I wouldn't try doing them yourself (certainly not around driveway in concrete). If you call a masonry company, they can give you a price by the linear foot. We had our driveway done a few years ago, and the blocks were about half the cost of the entire project. They are pricey - but well worth it!

my father is no mason but managed to redo his entire brick front entry, steps included. what's different about belgium blocks? i'm curious, don't know what they are...

I believe they are cemented in place. Bricks for a patio are a lot easier (FH can do them also)...you just have to level the ground out properly and know how to lay them...no cement involved. I was told they're very hard to do unless you know what you're doing also, b/c you can screw up your driveway.

We got them and an asphalt driveway for close t o $3k. I thought they would be cheaper but they were pretty pricey.

My parents had their driveway redone probably about 3 years ago, I dont know the exact cost but I know that the belgium blocks were very pricy to have done. My mom hid the cost of them because she didnt want my dad to know how much she was spending on the little blocks!

isn't it crazy how everything seems to be that way with a house though?
