Those who did the wish bowl..

what did you write on your note to everyone to explain what they should write?

i cant figure out exactly what should be written so any ideas would be great!

this is the wishbowl im talking about btw

the one i posted is a martha stewart wishbowl. it's basically just like a guestbook. people write messages/advice for the couple and put it into the bowl at the reception. then you get to read them later

I can't remember it exactly, it was similar to Teri's but mentioned us reading the notes on the plane to Europe. I think I got it on weddingchannel.com
we also had an attendant during cocktail hour.

That is a cute idea! I never saw that before. You could take the notes and make a scrap book after!

I love this idea. I have never heard of it myself, but really think I might just do this. What a great way to spend your airflight to the honeymoon location reading these.

ooh i actually didnt think of reading them on the way to our honeymoon - haha with the 13 hours of flying involved, that might be a good idea!!

Did you just cut up regular size paper?

i havent bought mine yet but i think i'm just gunna go to office depot and see what i can find. envelopes i'll do if i can find them for cheap.

I think Martha Stewart's website sells that bowl, but it's pricey - $75 I think

edited to add: I bought the cards and envelopes at Michaels. I also bought a small heart stamp and ink and decorated each card with a small heart to dress it up a little

These are so pretty. What a great idea. We are doing the sign in platter so this will give people extra room to write.

butterfly ~ guests write on a notecard and then put it in an evelope before putting it in the bowl. i guess so other people can't read their notes
