...did you regret it? I am thinking of adding them to my package but it would really make $$ tight for us.
Can we make them a few years down the road if we have all photos on a CD??

Re: Those who didn't get albums...
I am personally not planning on doing wedding albums. I talked to my mom about this and she agrees that it would be a waste of money because the photographers can sometimes overcharge you for something that you can easily makes somewhere else on your own.
My plan is to have all my pictures on a CD and then I am going to make a leatherbound photobook for me and my FI and then make smaller books for our parents on Shutterfly.
I have order many books from there and I am extremely happy with the results. Plus they are always having sales on photbooks so I save even more $$ in the end. I also like that I can do the layout the way I want and they have many stules and layouts to choose from that I am sure you can find something you like.

I'm not doing albums. My photographer is charging me $1200.00 to photograph our wedding. He is giving us a Hi-Res DVD ( with rights to print) at the end of our party. We do have the option to order albums after the wedding & pay as we go. I really don't think we'll go with that option.

Re: Those who didn't get albums...
i got albums for two reasons
1.my album is digital
2.im not crafty at all and want the album to look nice and i would prob mess it up
so if u r handy and crafty then make ur own.. just dont have that kind of talent lol

If you are crafty don't worry about..snapfish has great albums and they are not that difficult to put together

I didn't get my album with my photographer I made one myself on mpix.com and it came out Fantastic. I made a a digital hardcover album. There are plenty of 3rd party companies that will charge way less if you were to get you album with your photographer.
try somerset albums.com also

Re: Those who didn't get albums...
We are getting one parent album because Italian FMIL is INSISTING on it..... I will make albums for my parents and my 2 aunts from a site like my publisher/shutterfly/snapfish/ etc. The pro album only gives u 24 pics but this way they can pic their own pictures and have more than 24. His mom 'needed an album' from the pros even though it costs a few hundred dollars... so ridiculous...

Re: Those who didn't get albums...
we weren't gping to get one but finally decided after the wedding and looking at the pictures to go ahead and get it. But I also did an album myself because the photog one is limited to so few pics. and most people who saw my version liked it almost as much as the professional one.
Also, I put together a slideshow with our first dance songs as background and made a dvd of it. which might be even better than an album - - just pop it in your player. so while the photg one is really really nice you really can do without.
