my printer is so messed up so the one thing i did was use a printing company just for the versed parts then after i got that i did all the rest myself. I need a new printer
well the problem isnt the printer with the smudging, certain paper works with certain printers...some cardstock is used for inkjet and others are meant for laser so that might be the problem

FMIL actually called up the printing company they use for her company when they need services so i just gave all the info such as wording to FMIL to give to them plus since they have a corporate account she got it for less.
but try papyrus they do it, i would suggest kinkos but someone recently had a bad experience so im afraid to suggest that...or maybe staples

Re: Those who DIY Invitation
I've tested it out on a laser printer and a inkjet. The laser was definitely a lot faster -but my home inkjet I like better because it does color. But if you are looking to make invitations - I would suggest an HP Laser Jet Printer.

Kinkos only does flat printing...not all locations will print on the paper you supply.
Star dream paper is maen for laser printers, it will bleed if printed on an inkjet if wet or damp.
You can use linen paper on both!
Just make sure you read about the paper you are using and make sure the weight of the paper and material are compatible for the type of printer you are using. You should be able to find the specs about what your printer can handle online!

Re: Those who DIY Invitation
I designed my STD's and brought them to Staples to be printed. They printed them on cardstock and then cut them for me too. Saved me so much time!
I have an old 2000 Epson inkjet printer and used that to print on vellum as well as the RSVP cards. the printing was ok and I had no problems with smudging on that so I would think the newer printers should be even bettere. I did have problems with dribbles of ink I think it was old. it happened when I tried to use clip art but not for justr printing. with the vellum I used option for black ink, not color so it wouldsn't be so thick and dry quicker.
and I think there is some powder you can buy to help drying if needed.
