how was your flight experience?

did you take off on time? did you land on time?

how long after you landed, did it take to get through customs?

continental changed our flight from LAX to home. and now they want to put us on a 1 stop flight which gets us home at midnight. im trying to see if we keep our flight as is, will we make it??

we land in LAX from tahiti at 9:15 and our flight home departs at 10:30am. international flights minimum lay over is 2-3 hours................ ugh and continental is NOT being nice about it.

Sorry I haven't flown yet but we scheduled a 3 hr layover in LAX. How did you find out the flight times changed? Good luck!

thats almost what we had, a 2 and a half hour layover. they changed it to an hour and 15. which really isnt enough time. But our TA said they are usually on time if not early, but i wanted to hear from travelers.

they sent us a notification.

the problem is there are no direct flights, and any flight we get on, gets us home at midnight.

air tahiti nui was much nicer to fly than AA was!! BY FAR!!! they were sooo sweet and served you food and beverages without charging you.

BUT the airport is TINY and HOT HOT HOT!! One of my flights was delayed (from Moorea to Bora Bora) in that lil airport and the endless waiting was very uncomfortable.

the other flights were on time and i was in Cali with a LONG layover... and that was painful!! You might have just enough time. it's cutting it close. but it's not impossible either. you just don't know.

we had no problems with air tahiti nui, but you need some time in between to deal with customs, etc.

Air Tahiti Nui is great, wine...and lots of it are free in coach. A great help with such a long flight.

I would fly them again in a heartbeat.

It's a long trip but truly the most amazing place in this world. Enjoy!
