Going to do my menu soon and wanted to know any recommendations and/or things you would not recommend for food.
Thanks

Re: Those who have been to the WATERMILL
Although I haven't done my menu yet I have heard that the chicken dish with teh asparagus is out of this world. That is what I am picking for my chicken dish. Honestly I think you can't go wrong with anything they have to offer---i hear it is all good.
Let me know how it goes since I will be going in oct!!! I can't wait

their salmon is really good having been a guest there and a waitress, i dont think their prime rib is fabulous, not bad just not the best i have had-but their filet mignon is delicious
i dont know if you are doing the seafood boat but thats a great add on

Thanks so much There are so many choices that sound delicious but without a tasting it is so hard to choose.

Re: Those who have been to the WATERMILL
I just had my wedding there and we had the Chateu briand, the chicken w/asparagus and the grilled salmon. From what I heard, everyone thought it was all so delicious. I also had the eggplant roletini at my cocktail hour that I heard was a big hit also. From my nerves, I really didn't eat too much, but it all looked so yummy. I think the chicken is called Chicken Verdi.

Re: Those who have been to the WATERMILL
i went to a wedding there and we got two slices of some sort of red meat... maybe it was the prime rib? i am not very good with the names of steaks... i would not recommend it. Also, at the end they gave us an icecream sundae but it was rock hard and not too yummy. cocktail hour was great though from what i remember!
ETA: everything else was great, just wanted to let you know what to avoid

I'm going to that wedding on 7/28 so I can give you my opinions then...just not sure when you're finalizing the menu. SO EXCITING!

Re: Those who have been to the WATERMILL
My FH and I both worked there for a while. We both agree that the Chateau Briand is one of their best dishes. The chicken with the asparagus on it is called Chicken Verde. That is a popular one because it is different then the Francaise that is usually served at weddings. We chose Filet Mignon (Chateau Briand), Chicken Rollatini & we are having Fresh Red Snapper ordered. The grilled salmom is also delicious. I do recommend you having there BBQ spare ribs at cocktail hour, they have some of the best! It was always a hit when we worked there. The chef, Chris is amazing so you will not be dissapointed no matter what you choose. However, I do feel that their prime rib is just 'so so'. Best of Luck......

Re: Those who have been to the WATERMILL
also- for dessert ask them if they will give you the peach melba- yummy, the mousse is good but not as good as the melba
and the salad- the antipasta is great the greek salad is good the fruit salad is ok
