Those who have gone to Phyllis @ Gownfind

I have an appt to see her on Saturday for alterations.

Do you leave a deposit & pay in full when you pick up the gown?

not sure. I think that you will pay when she does your alterations!

I got my dress from her but I had it altered in Manhattan. ETA - paid on pick up

Just wanted to say I'm so glad you got your dress out of that horrid place

Just do yourself a favor and call to confirm your appointment, and even ask of she is running late!

For dresses, we pre-paid, but not for alterations. I don't know what she does when the dress is not from her.

I paid for the dress (in full?) but she now has it & will alter it. I'm guessing I only have to pay for alterations (shipping?) when the dress is finished.

Yeah, me too!! Although I admit I was pissed when I took it out of the store and noticed footprints all over the bottom of the dress bag that I knew were not from me!!! Thank God I inspected the dress before I took it out!!

I used Phyllis and she hooked me up. I bought the gown from her and then she also did my alterations. Paid for alterations when I picked up the gown. I was beyond happy with the result. She had to to alot of work with the arms that were lace and put in bones in the top so it stayed in place. Also my Mom had beads from her dress that she wanted sewed in and Phyllis even had to cut and sew my corset to fit perfectly with the dress. She did so much work and the price was amazing. The dress fit perfectly. Here was my bustle she did.
