Is it normal that my computer was originally shipped from NV and is now in CA when it has to go to NY? It seems to be going in the opposite direction, no?

Sounds like they're just sending it to a bigger warehouse, you know how sometimes you have to fly to Chicago to get to Florida?

That's stinky. I got all excited today because I got a package and it turned out not to be it. What a bummer.

Yeah, I hear you! I have a similar story - My parents bought me a computer from Gateway for my HS graduation, and we spent the following weeks joking about how the boxes were cow-printed, calling the computer 'My/Rachel's Cow', that sort of thing. Anyway, so my parents threw me a little graduation party, for which we got food from Stew Leonard's, a Connecticut store which uses cow print boxes for its catering. So my Dad walks into the house for the party with the Stew's cow print boxes and I screamed out 'It's My Cow!!!!' but it (obviously) wasn't.

I ordered a Dell laptop for my DH, I got it less than 3 weeks later. I got an email notification from Dell when it shipped with the tracking #. So I knew when it was coming. Did you get an email from them?

I'm not sure about the going from NV to CA thing, but I can totally relate to the getting so excited and the disappointment. We ordered a laptop the end of Nov and it was set to ship the 9th. We got a free printer w/ it so there were 2 packages. The tracking said they were to be delivered the 12th - to DH work. I kept checking UPS website and I clicked one package and it said delivered so when I got home and DH told me the computer wasn't there I was like Turned out the delivery guy missed it so we had to wait till the next day. SOOO annoying!!

I did get an e-mail notification that is was shipped, so i have been using the tracking #'s to track it. It seems to be moving further away from me then closer. My dad said oh, your package came. I saw the size and shape of the box and knew it wasn't it. Just the printer...

My BIL ordered a Dell and he got it within 2 days.
