Those who know NYC well ... I have a question

how far is it from the museum of natural history to Park Ave? Should we take a cab? Subway? or Walk?

Going in tomorrow morning and have no idea if the two places are even close

Depends where you have to go, but I would take a cab...You have to go across town and none of the subways right there go across town.... And if it is a nice warm day then walk, but if it's yucky out, take a cab... I hope I helped..

Where on Park do you have to go??? Approximately??

You could walk through the park depending upon how much time you have..... park avenue is just another the other side of the park on the east, museum to the west.... however, depending where on park avenue you need to get to, you may want to take a cab a s it could be a long walk. Or I think the F train is the one that cuts through the top of the park to the east side, but don't quote me on that.

good luck

Defintiely don't attemot to walk it. The museum is on 81st street if I recall correctly. It would be quite a hike to 22nd street.
You could probably take the B train from the AMNH down to 23rd street and i think that'll put you very close to your destination.

ETA: i was looking at the maps and it looks like only the F and V stop at 23rd Street, but they are on the 6th avenue line with the B train, so all you have to do is switch at 47-50 Rockefeller Center. It'll be the same platform.

Is that for the boot camp?

You can also walk across the park and take the 6 train from 77th st down to 23rd st and Park Ave. It stops at 77th and Lexington.

Yes, what happened with boot camp thread?

You will need a cab. It's hard going from one side of park to the other side unless you are walking and you are going too far South.

Re: Those who know NYC well ... I have a question

I work at the Museum and FH used to work on 18th & Park Ave South. This is how I used to get to him:

Take the B train downtown from the Museum to 34th street. Transfer to any yellow train (R,W,Q,N) downtown. Try to get in a car towards the back of the train. Take this train to Union Square. When you get off the train, you should see a starbuck's to your left, Barnes & Noble should be right in front of you, and the NY Film School should be on your right. Walk towards the NY Film School. This is Park Ave South. Just walk uptown to 22nd.
