Those who made their own invitations

Those who made their own invitations

Where did you get your paper and did you do it on a laser printer? I have the invitation all set up in the font I want (I just need to know where we're actually having it...duh!) and it's just a matter of finding nice paper and printing it. I know they sell invitation kits that include the envelopes and RSVP cards. Can you tell me where you got yours and approximately how much you spent?

Thanks. Planning a wedding in like 2 weeks time really sucks!

I got everything from Paper Access in the city. They had really good quality options and they had vellum for injet printers.

i used Formal Invitations They have beautiful stuff

Did you print them yourself? If so, what kind of printer did you use? I'm concerned about the heavy cardstock getting stuck in the printer or getting wrinkled or damaged.

jann, we bought a new printer for our wedding stuff...programs, menu cards, etc. it's a 'hp psc 2401 xc photosmart all-in-one printer. (copier, fax and scanner as well)
It's a little pricey (between $200-$300), but the ink lasts forever and the quality is AMAZING!!!! Even tom is impressed by it and he has incredibly high standards as a graphic designer!
if you want to, we can let you use it, all you have to do its provide the ink!

You're so sweet! We have a laser printer and DF is a technology consultant, so he's got access to anything and everything, but since we're only sending maybe 20 invitations, I'm not giving him carte blanche to spend anymore money.

The poor guy!

if you want really simple invitations, you can go to staples or office max...they have kits there...we used some of them for our STD's
