Does she send you an invoice when it's time to put a deposit down? Did you pay through paypal or send a check?

She sent me an invoice when I decided on the design.. then when she was ready to start my invitations i paid her through pay pal..

i paid with a check, i didn't get any info back, just saw the check posted in my account. but good idea to ask for one!

I did PayPal for both, but given the choice, i def would have sent a check had i known the PayPal fees would be so high.

I did Paypal...I thought its free to send money, the person who is getting paid is the one who gets charged.

How much were the fees? Her contract says 3% which is about what paypal charges to use them.

On your final invoice from Tessa, you'll get charged her fees for taking the money through PayPal.
PayPal is always free to send money, but the recipient needs to pay PayPal a certain %. That's how they make their money.

I paid my first deposit by check and she sent an invoice through email (it had to be revised from when I got the physical proof) and then I used paypal when I paid my final balance.
