those who pump
Re: those who pump
I have the same pump. The first few times I pumped I only got a few teaspoons worth- she was 5 days old. The more often you pump, the more you will produce. You have the most milk early in the morning. Try to get up before you think your daughter will awake and pump. After a few days I was able to pump for one feeding in the morning and then nurse her directly shortly after pumping. Be sure to have a glass of water while you are pumping. If you have trouble with letting down for the pump you can try feeding on one side while you pump on the other. Fm me if you need more help. Don't give up yet. If you have to supplement with formula today your dd WILL be ok.

In addition to what everyone else said (especially drinking lots of water) try pumping after you BF. You might not get much initially but you will be telling your body that it needs to make more and it should start coming in more. I remember there were days when I would get 4 ounces all day long and others where I would get 8 in one sitting. Definitely drink lots and don't give up, it usually gets easier.
