Those with Rh booked...

Did you have any trouble with getting the date you wanted at the RH you wanted???

I think I have my <3 set on a RH & a specific date, but my mom of course had to be pessimistic last night and pretty much tell me not to get my hopes up b/c chances are I'm not going to end up with the date I want.... I was kinda PO'ed after she said that... At least think positive for me! But I think booking a lil more than 2 yrs in advance & not looking to book a holiday weekend should put me in good standings right??? UGH... She's slowly beginning to get me a lil nuts

WIth our wedding in 09, we pretty much had our pick of ANY day we wanted!!!!

You should be ok b/c its still pretty far away. If you want a specific date I'd think of a couple back up dates you'd be happy with just in case your first choice isnt available

I didn't have any problems..we told the manager the date..he left to go check the book (that's when i panicked a little) he came back and said 'ok its open'. I really don't think you'll have a problem! good luck!

im going to have to side with your mom....sorry

there isnt a problem with having an idea, but you definitely have to have an open mind because a lot of halls are already heavily booked for 2008

we wanted 9/5 but that date was taken so we went for thr 12th

why dont u call and ask them? they usually always can tell u on the phone whether they have a date booked or not

LOL ... When I first read your post, I was like whoa... maybe I am just dreaming here and mommy is right and these LI weddings are just THAT serious!

Its def good to hear from others that there shouldnt be a prob this early in the game.... I gotta light a torch under FH's a.s.s and get him going here!!!

Well i went to the Meadow Club and i called them and they said that it was openned and when i went there someone put the contract in the wrong year so i had to go with the smaller room. But he did say that most of 09 was opened. Keep your hopes up i know that it will be open.... Stay postive.

I dont think you will have any problem...all the places i looked at were very open for 2009. They actually laughed when I seemed concerned abot not getting the date we wanted lol.

we actually had 3 different dates in mind...all of which were available...when we told him we wanted to book right away he told us to do it after we came to a tasting. i said, but what about our dates?! he said 'Trust me, i odnt even need the book...its open.' You should be fin!

I went to 5 reception halls, and all of them said they had LOTS of dates open for 2009. Not one place didnt have my date and it's a week before valentines day! Dont worry about it!!! It will be fine!

Don't stress..... your chances are like 99% they will have the date.... it is still way in advance... Im sure they will have your date... good luck & keep is posted!
