Thought I was done didnt ya

So its that time again, time for my silly questoins

I must live under a rock sinc eI know nothing about this wedding stuff so please dont mind me.

Who usually pays for the bridal shower? I really dont want my mom too since she will def say she has money and she doesnt. I would rather not have one then have her pay....

Does the bp pay? Does my mom? Is it split?

um...honestly im not 100% sure...

what i THINK it is, or im under the impression is that it is usually Mom and MOH or Mom and BP...

but if u kno ur mom can't do it, then ya the BP should...

it depends..

traditionally the bp is supposed to pay for the shower but sometimes the mom will pay for part or all of the shower.

for my sister's shower, my mom contributed some money and then the bp split the rest.

In past experience, the BP chips in...and the mom covers the rest. That's how it's worked for every wedding I have been in. But I think it depends on the situation

for every wedding i have been to the brides mom has paid for the shower. but that was only because they were not contributing to the wedding.

in my situation, where my parents are paying for the RH, she already said she will be paying for the shower as well. my MOH (my sister) is only 21 & in nursing school so she would never be able to pay for it on her own.

depends on the situation..

for one friends wedding the bp split it evenly.
For another wedding the moh and mom paid for it
and for another the mom paid for it

for mine... i dunno, lol again i guess it depends on what everyone's financial situation is like.

in my situation my mother is paying for the shower herself, she already started saving for it.
I have heard though that the mother and BP usually split the cost though...

there are no 'rules' for real. i have been in bridal parties where the bp paid for it all. for mine, my mom is paying for the venue, and the favors and the bp is paying for decorations and games. It all depends on your group. But in reality this is for your mom and your bridal party to discuss

totally depends. My aunt paid for my cousins wifes shower.

I believe tradition says the BP pays for it. In my case my mom and MOH's (my two sisters) will be paying for it but will definitely ask the BM's to help coordinate.
