hi girls im an 08'er and my shower is far off and i see some of you are talking about it so i thought i'd share for those who are interested!
i love the idea of a wishing well but sometimes people dont know what to get.. so heres my idea.. i love to be crafty and cook and fix things so i want my wishing well to be all kinds of cook books, how to books, craft books.. anything that i will be able to use!...

i think thats a great idea!! it's always better when people know what you like so it's not thrown away $$
my friend's sister is getting married in Aug. and the shower is in June, she loves to bake so that will be the whole theme of her shower

thanks some of the girls on the 08 board said they would give out like measuring cups/spoons or a cookie cutter with recipe as favors i thought it was a cute touch!

We did 'stock the bar' for my friends shower!!
We also came up with:
'a night for two' 'bbq nights' 'holiday bin'
etc.....
I think wishing wells are silly w/out a theme, how many wooden spoons can one get? lol

heres another if your going to do the cook books etc... you can also put a little insert in the invite like where your registered... and ask each guest to bring their favorite recipe... then put a basket at the door to collect them.. after all is said and done.. you can go to a printing company and make your own FAMILY cook book!!

I love different ideas. My Shower was in early December. They put up a Christmas Tree and that was using as my wishing well. They told everyone to bring ornaments. I got so much Christmas stuff I loved it!!
