thought I'd share the reasons behind my theme (personal side of me)
This is a poem I wrote a long time ago. I think it might help show how significant butterflies are to me....
'The Butterfly of Hope and Happiness'
Oh single butterfly
Who alone, yet so full of life in search of it's dreams
Your path seems random and your flight is trying
But somehow you find your destination
Through the obstacles of the world
Your heart leads your long fight towards your final purpose
With your fragile wings, you stand the test of time
And your beauty prevails
I sit watching in awe
As my tears stream down my cheack in toughts of my own sadness
And I wonder how something so delictate can be so strong
Your metamorphosis into the colors you are today
Inspire me that I too can achieve something beautiful
With time I will strengthen
and I too can withstand the test of time
Someday I will reach my dreams
and when I do, I will release my butterflies
Who have been my life's inspirations
Seeing the sky fill with your colors will remind me of where I came
On each wing sits the tears of my past,
forever leaving from the memory of my soul
You empty my heart so I will have room to fill my future with happiness
You represent new beginnings and new life.
I in white, you fill my day with color
And if I cry, it's because I know I no longer need to search
for I have found my Dreams.
