Thought of a word/phrase association game we can play
I'm going to say different words/phrases, and you write what pops into your mind. I think we all have memories associated with certain things.
1. Oranges/Fla.
This reminds me of when I was in kindergarten, and my teacher had returned from Fla. with little bottles of orange blossom cologne for all the little girls!!!!! Course Fla. is also where DH and I went on our HM !!!!!
2. Cherry tree
As a child I use to climb my Grandmother's cherry tree, and pick cherries for her amazing cherry pudding, which was more like a cake/cobbler.
3. Earliest Sunday School/Church memory
I was a tiny tot, maybe 3/4 in Miss Brown's class. I had a little pocketbook, that I loved!!!!! Another little girl took my precious pocketbook, and I was upset at Miss Brown because she wouldn't make her give it back to me, at least not right away!!! I also remember singing a song, called Dropping Pennies, when the collection basket was passed!!!
Let's try these three first and I'm going to think of some more:

I remember Mom had an old wringer washer, on the back porch, and because I was fascinated with the wringers, I actually stuck my finger in!!!!! Mom took me to the Dr. and my finger was ok!!!!
5. lollipops
I have a very early childhood memory of Dad bringing my Brother and me each a car, with a bundle of lollipops in!!!!!!
6. Doctor!!!!
I remember when Dr.'s made housecalls!!!! And my Dr. gave me a Rin Tin Tin ring !!!!

7. Your very first kiss!!!!!
I was elementary school age. It was under a huge evergreen tree , with a little boy named Billy.
8. Mean teacher
I won't mention her name, but it was in first grade. I remember her screaming at a little Puerto Rican girl, the first day of school, who didn't want to enter the classroom!!!! She was mean to me too, but can you imagine a teacher locking a first grade boy in the closet??? That was my Brother!!!!
9. Gymsuits
Course I know they're better nowdays, but oh, my, who invented those hideous green one piece atrocities????
