I am new to this site and this is my first time posting. I am recently engaged and I plan on looking at a ton of venues. I always loved the Riveria in Massapequa. I am looking for a venue on the water..Can you all give your opinions on that venue. Thank you :)

Welcome and congratulations on your engagement!!!
FH and I looked at a lot of places and when we walked into the Riviera, we were IN LOVE! It was absolutely perfect for us and we booked with Vickie, who is AMAZING! The outside is so beautiful.. when are you guys thinking of getting married?

I'm checking it out for the first time on Sunday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is the place :)

We also were looking for a waterfront venue. We ended up booking with The Venetian Yacht Club before we saw The Rivera but it was definitely on the list. It looks real nice. You can also try Chateu la Mer (sp?) in Lindenhurst, Venetian Yacht Club in Babylon and Captain Bills in Bayshore.

I am in love with the Riviera as well but have not seen it in person yet! I think its very reasonably priced and they were one of the few halls to gladly offer pricing & info over the phone.

Thanks girls! I am looking at a July 2014 wedding. Possibly Thursday, July 3rd. I have to do my research but I have always loved the Riveria!

Riviera is GREAT - we are getting married there in August. Everyone has been communicative, amenable, and easy to work with. If you go there on Sunday, Vicky will be there, and she will take good care of you. It's a great place because it's one wedding at a time. Don't be afraid to ask to do a tasting before you sign the contract. They allowed us to do it and we went on a Thursday evening and sampled the food they chose for that particular event. Happy Hunting and CONGRATS!!!

I just spoke to a florist to set up an appointment, and she couldn't say ENOUGH about The Riviera. Makes me really want to love this place so I can get the fence pole out of my *** and just pick a venue already.

Another Riviera bride here!! I have to say, everything has gone VERY smoothly with them so far. They have been very willing to answer questions, make accommodations, and help in any way possible. The Riviera is beautiful and they are definitely among the most reasonable catering halls around, price-wise.
The venue has probably been the most painless aspect of all my wedding planning!

So I checked out The Riveria last night, my FH and I fell in love with the venue and the view. My only concern is the seating. Will guest feel too cramped? I expect to have around175 guests. The cocktail hour seemed beautiful (weather premitting) but will guest all have a seat. I feel they are very accommodating and provide so much for the cost. Thoughts?? Thanks again :)
