'Thought you'd end up with...'

Has any one ever said this or something similar to this to you?

'I alwalys thought you would end up (married to) _____insert name here______'

I had this happen last night and I was at a wake. I was take back and didn't know what to say, except 'Nope, I am with FH'. I was confused and bewildered!!

fh and i dated in college and went our separate ways after and it like 2 years later and I was with someone else & someone said something similar to me & literally a month later I bumped into FH

woah... i was floored, and polietly said we were all 16 and ppl do grow up in 10 years

mind u this is someone that i stopped talkign to in HS and havent seen them since...

yes i had fun in HS nothing wh0resh... BUT i had fun....

rather get it out at 16 then 26!

I got something similar to that. They said 'I always thought you would end up with a Latino'.

I just don't understand why people feel the need to comment to begin with. the only thing that they should say is congratualtions or nothing at all.

yes...i dated my ex for 9 years and so many people thought that we would wind up together..glad thats not the case

lol actually never..I think its because my fh is the best guy i've dated..lol the rest of my exs were a**holes!

Same here!!! Most of the time I here 'I'm glad you didn't wind up with ____________. We all hoped it wouldn't turn out that way. Thankfully everyone seems to think FH is perfect for me, but most importantly I think he is perfect for me!

I just had that recently. My father said I really liked (ex) he. met him once since I was in another state. Now mind you getting married in 9 weeks! I was floored.
