Thoughts.

Is it just me, or, does anyone else feel like they've lost there work motivation a few months before there wedding? I catch myself steering away from work to research wedding stuff (must take photos, odds and ends, etc). Yesterday, I purchased BM necklesses from theknot.com (major sale) and I ordered perfume for all but my sister (I don't know what she's allergic too so I don't want to be responsible for killing my sister).

Speaking of my sister, I figured I should tell you all that I managed to talk with her. When I had it out with my dad last week, I realized that I actually feel really really really bad for her.

I had told her simply that she is my sister, and I loved her, and I didn't mean to sound like I didn't care about what she was going through, and that I didn't want to step on her toes with my whole bachlorette party thing, that I thought I was doing her a favor in taking it off her shoulders, and we could do something special, Maybe go to a winery out east or something. And, we vowed NEVER again to vent to mom and dad about anything because they obviously took it to another level and my sister knows I didn't mean what I said, and vice versa. And I told her no more lying to me, especially about anything pertaining to my wedding, since I told her I cannot get rid of the edge I have gotten lately, and in time she will realize it when it's her turn.

My dad has her pinned to the house since she moved back home (using the word 'jail' many times). While I believe she needs some grounding, I don't think totally taking away everything (since she is 21, not 12) is going to do the absolute trick. She should think about getting a new group of friends, exploring new things, and yes, facing her mistakes. My dad even went as far to say to me if I was still living at home, I'd be on 'the same leash'. Yep, because 26 year olds can still get grounded.

I still haven't spoken to my mom, but my sister told me she was going to get mom alone and the 3 of us talk. I don't know what's with my dad and his need for absolute control over everything. The yelling, the narrow vision and the downers need to come to an end. And it had better, because honestly, I have no problem walking by myself down the aisle. I am 26. I am not a child. I believe I'm beyond that and this 'your generation sucks' mode he has in his mind is over-played.

Anyway, since my bosses are not due in the office today (accounting courses, love it) I am going to catch up on things I slacked on.

Seriously, thank you, thank you thank you for reading. I take everything to heart and think beyond what it really needs to be. I maybe get 2 weeks out of the month where I'm a lot calmer and think more rationally about situations.
