We are doing a black and white wedding, but we will be including pink roses as well, nothing else pink (except my shoes!)
My MOH refuses to wear all black because she believes that that would mean that she disapproves, which she doesn't at all. I'm having a very small wedding party (only 3 girls) and I want my MOH to stand out without seeming out of place.
Originally I wanted the girls to be in tea length black satin dresses with white sashes, a white flower, and white peakaboo skirt, but could not think of anything to make MOH stand out except for different jewelry and flowers. I posted an example in my wedding dress album (colors are different of course).
I liked it, but I think the girls would need a lot of alterations because all of them are very top heavy. (As you can see in the pictures)
I want to make it as easy for them as possible, especially since all of them live in different states and can only get to Long Island once or twice a year.
What do you think of these dresses? Do you think it would be easier for the girls in the alterations department, and do you think they would be more comfortable? Also, do you think they would wear these dresses again? I would have my 2 BMs wear all black, which they don't mind, and then I would have my MOH wear the white flower pin on her shoulder strap so that she isn't all in black.
This is tougher than picking my dress!
Edit to Add:
I found other dresses that I love!!! I am keeping my fingers crossed that they look good on the girls. Does anyone know what the best place is to look at Alfred Angelo dresses, and where to look online if the girls have to order online instead?
Thoughts?

I'm just not sure how flattering the dress will be for their figures

I love the idea of using the flower pin for your MOH, but I would definitely have them try on the dress first. These flowy-type dresses can look frumpy sometimes I didn't feel good in the ones I tried on.

Bill levkoff 537 or 525 i forgot the number is very flattering. I can post a pic of my cousin who has a big chest. But if they are big in general its not too flattering

Thanks for the thoughts! I'm going to try to get one of my BMs from CT to come out here next month to try some different styles. It's tough when everyone is out of state, especially all different states. lol

Can I make a suggestion? I dont know if you are against strapless or spaghettie straps, but my girls wore Bari Jay 760 and they all looked incredible and were so comfortable! The tie is removable and you could always put a flower on the MOH dress similar to that of Bill Levkoff style Bari Jay 760 Bill Levkoff

I've been looking at these and your girls look great! They weren't pulling the dresses up constantly? All my girls are very very top heavy and I am just worried about the dresses slipping.

Nope they all loved them...there is a rubber lining around the top of the dress so that it stays up...not one girl complained! I was shocked..but they do come with spaghettis as well!!

Re: Thoughts on these BM dresses?
Being topheavy, I can tell you I would have a lot of trouble with those dresses! The V neck is way too deep. Where you see breastbone on models there will be lots of cleavage on top heavy girls. A higher neckline works better.

Very elegant. I would be worried about heavier girls in that dress. Might be the kind of dress you have to be sickly skinny to wear. You'll never know until they try it on!! But I think it's a very elegant dress.

Re: Thoughts on these BM dresses?
i like the second dress you posted more than the first one. but i think you need to have a couple girls try on the different dresses (the 2 you listed and perhaps a strapless as suggested above) and see which looks the best and what the girls feel most comfortable in

Re: Thoughts on these BM dresses?
i like the second dress. its more for fitting and being a busty girl myself, this dress would look better on top. the first dress looks a little like it has no form and just hangs there. why not shop at like davids bridal or something? especially if everyone is coming from different places far away. if you want to do cocktail lenght, pick a dress that is already short instead of going for the long one and then making it short.

Re: Thoughts on these BM dresses?
I don't think the first dress would be flattering for most people. Someone posted a really pretty dark colored dress on BHB boards
It's gorgeous and it's similar to the first dress you picked but more fashionable I think. It's shown in navy, but maybe they have it in black also.

I think the second dress would be more flattering. I personally do not like the cut of the first dress - not very flattering, and sometimes makes you look 10+ lbs heavier. I love the strapless dress posted above.

I like the second one with the white sash better. I also think it will be more flattering for them.
