Yay or nay? I wanted something different than the boxes wrapped up, or the birdcage. (I'm the last friend getting married, I need to switch it up a little)
I think it's pretty but im not super comfy with a clear cardbox, but that was just me!

i know they sell ones like this that are personalized and are very pretty - you might want to look into that instead? this one is good too though

I'm very naive- why shouldn't I use a see-through box? Is it a security thing? Or is it that guests shouldn't see the cards?

I love it, very different.. and I don't see why you can't have a see through box. I don't think it matters! The guests at your wedding should be responsible enough not to steal from you. JMO.

i personally like that you can see through it......everyone knows where the cards are and id feel more comfortable actually seeing the cards and knowing they r in there (not that i think my fam would steal....but u never know)

I love this card box! I considered using it but I could not justify the price tag. For the girls that said they would not be comfortable using it b/c it is clear-How is a see through glass card box any different then using a bird cage?

I think it's pretty. always nice to do something a little different.
I think the concern over it being clear is because it might be easier to pick something out of it. Not that your GUESTS are thieves, but you never know who's walking by and will have total access to it while you & your guests are distracted (servers, bar tenders, etc). I've heard horror stories about that and was kind of nervous at my own wedding. So I made sure to make it IMPOSSIBLE to slip your hand easily inside. It would take some serious effort and time, and then even afterward if you DID get your hand squeezed in there, you'd still not know where you're grabbing at. When me & dh opened it later that night we had to literally destroy the entire box. lol.
I agree too on the comparison to the bird cage. I think using a clear box is the same basic idea. Neither is less accessible than the other. But very pretty. And if you're scared of a thief, you can always assign somebody to keep an eye on it.

I wouldnt do see through, just a security thing for me.
For some reason DH's grandma gave us a wad of cash in a business envelope and if someone saw that im sure they would have been tempted to take the box.

I understand what you are saying...i didnt feel comfy with a birdcage either but that was just my opinion..plenty of people use them!
