Throwing a BRIDAL SHOWER

Now that my wedding is over, I have taken over bridesmaid duties. I am the Matron Of Honor in my friend's wedding in September and have to get moving on the shower planning.

I think it will be in a house and her mom wants to cook for it. Does anyone have any good THEME ideas, as in, decorations, favors, food etc.......
I need something to work off of.

What kinds of things is the bride into? Cooking, baking, crafts, gardening? You could so something along those lines. You can do an afternoon tea, or a Jack and JIll shower.

You could decorate in the colors of the wedding.
I love cows so my BN's made the best favors. They took large canning jars and filled them with either beans for chili or soup. covered the top with black an d white material that looked like a cow then attached the recipe for the ingrediants in the jar!!

It was a huge hit.

You could do a scissor holer that hangs on the refrigerator with a magent, made out of a potholder.

Let me know if you want any direction on what I said.

Definately do it using something she likes, ie: sunflowers, dolls, etc.

how about a beach theme. You could have hot dogs and hamburgers and frozen drinks. Everyone can wear sandals and the favors could be little plastic pails stuffed with beachy things.

That's the thing.....she isn't really into anything specific. She likes to PARTY. But that isn't a theme!! Her wedding is a fall theme so I guess I could decorate based on that.

I want to make her a kick ASS basket too. Wasn't there a thread about that?
