Damien will not take a pacifer. He does want to suck though. When will he be able to master thumbsucking? He gets his thumb in his mouth sometimes but can't keep it in. Anyone have a thumbsucker?

We are waiying for this too. We didn't want to give Adeline a pacifer the first few weeks but we just started giving one to her a a little while ago. For awhile she took it but now she hates it but she still wants to suck.

We never gave Emma a pacifier or bottle for that matter. She eventually found her hands on her own once she got more control of her body. Maybe you can offer a bottle for something to suck on. They push things out of their mouths too much to have a pacifier when they are very little.
PS thumb sucking may be a hard habit to break and may have an impact on their teeth if you dont break it early enough.
