Thunder and fireworks?

First off I hate being home alone..

My house is rumbling from what I think is thunder yet the doppler shows no rain over us or anything and coming from a few blocks the other way it sounds like someone is shooting off fireworks

Anyone else hearing thunder? Am I just hearing things?
