I just had to let all of you who are deciding on a wedding date know my experience. My FH and I had to do a Thursday night wedding because of when he could get off from work (he's doing residency) and when I had go back to med school. It was a GREAT idea!!! At first I was nervous about it, and people always have a comment of 'a thursday? really?', but it's the summer, so people will take 3 day weekends. And we got the photographer, hall, dj, florist, church, and everything else that was our first choice!!! It's becomming more popular because now the other room at my hall is taken up too. Not only that, but we got them all for A LOT less money than on a weekend, and we really are glad we made this decision. Just in case anyone was on the fence about it, that was my experience.

I always think no matter what day it is, if it is your family or dear friends getting married, you would be there for them no matter what time or day it is. Good luck to you!

I attended a wedding at Flowerfield's once on a Thursday night and at first I thought it was weird but then I had so much fun, I did not even care. I did have to leave a bit early though b/c I had work in the morning but you do what you have to do and that is it. If they are really your friends, they will attend no matter what.

My sister had a Thursday night wedding and also had a great experience, the people who matter will be there no matter what!
