Thursday night weddings?!

I just had to let all of you who are deciding on a wedding date know my experience. My FH and I had to do a Thursday night wedding because of when he could get off from work (he's doing residency) and when I had go back to med school. It was a GREAT idea!!! At first I was nervous about it, and people always have a comment of 'a thursday? really?', but it's the summer, so people will take 3 day weekends. And we got the photographer, hall, dj, florist, church, and everything else that was our first choice!!! It's becomming more popular because now the other room at my hall is taken up too. Not only that, but we got them all for A LOT less money than on a weekend, and we really are glad we made this decision. Just in case anyone was on the fence about it, that was my experience

thanks for sharing! im getting married on a wed before a holiday too and i was nervous but everyone is being supportive

You would save a ton! Halls and vendors have a much harder time finding Thursday customers, so they offer better prices as incentive.

I found it at the Christmas Store in Sunrise Mall... He lights up and plays jingle bells!

FH and I went to a Thursday night wedding...it was a great time and they had plenty of guests! You could probably save a lot of money too!!

i've never been to a thursday wedding, but if most of your guests were local it would be a great way to save money. we have too many oot guests to do it, but wished we could.
