**~~*THURSDAY QOTD*~~**

Hey Everyone!
Todays QOTD is

How was it meeting your FH's family for the first time?? Any crazy stories? Horror stories? Really nice stories?

Well for me my FH's parents are divorced so i met each of his family members for the first time each a different time.

FH lives with FMIL so that was no biggy, we met at stop and shop when we both worked there, and so i saw his mom shopping and thats how i got introduced.

His father lives in jersey so first time i met him was for his bday...they go to the horse track and bet on horses all day! knew right away that he was alot of fun!!!

ok so he has two brother! met them both at a party his one brother had! imediately the blackberry shots were flowing! his one brother toasted a shot to me and welcomed me into the family!
then later that night we ended up at a strip club!!!! haha ill never forget metting his brothers! lol

well i have known fh since we were 12 so i knew his mom way before we started dating...so it was kinda like hey..im now dating ur son lol

i know that i def uced out in this area cause she is a amazing woman who i love so much!!!

For me, I met his family over a poker game for the first time. I didn't really play so I went to watch and when I came back in the room I had chips and everything and FH had bought me in to watch and 'bet when I'm ready'. Everyone was there but his mom.

His mom was the best though, she checked with him and his brother 'you guys bought her in RIGHT' to which she got a 'yeah mom' and she was really quiet and reserved but she really doesn't miss a beat. At one point though he was smiling about something and I said 'you're bluffing. you're smiling!' and she piped up from across the table 'he always smiles when he looks at you. haven't you noticed?' We still joke about that sometimes.

When I met FH's mom for the first time, he introduced me as 'the reason I've been so disgustingly happy recently.' I love FMIL and we get along great.

FH is an only child and his father passed many years ago, but he's very close to his aunts and uncles. The first time I met them, I joined them in teasing FH and making fun of him, so they too liked me right off the bat. I'm so lucky to have a great future family.

I haven't seen it but I'm going to rent it now! His mom told me a few months ago that she knew before she met me from how he talked about me that he'd marry me :) I still tease him all the time like if he looks grumpy I'll yell 'what the heck don't you know you're supposed to smile when you look at me' and he usually rolls his eyes laughing.

I haven't seen it but I'm going to rent it now! aww you two are adorable!!!! yeah that movie is one of my faveeesss!! they were playing a game called bull sh*t! very cute def rent it!

I met FH's mom at a family friends bbq for the 1st time...I was really nervous since I am not chinese and I dont speak it...so we really didnt talk...it was more of her looking at me and me just sitting their uncomfortable

Its all better now we do alot of hand gestures and she speaks very little english but we try. FH says that she likes me more than him. She cooks for us and always accommodates my tastes and if I like something in particular she will make it for me.

The best thing about our relationship is that we can never argue since we dont speak the others language so its perfect, LOL!!!!

His parents are divorced and his relationship with his father is strained at best so there was never a formal introduction.

Fh's parents are nice people but they are just a little strange and old. I get along with both of them but we aren't like super close but neither is FH.


His brother was kinda strange too but I've been giving him a makeover so he is getting soooooo much better. Anyone know any single girls? LOLOLOL


FH's aunt and uncle are THE BEST! We both LOVE them. They are awesome and we love hanging out with them, we go out to dinner with them. They are great!

I actually don't really remember meeting FH's father and siblings, it was pretty non-descript. I do remember meeting his mother the first time though, it was the second official date I think and we were going to dinner to Piccola Bussola, and this was back when FH actually cared about me so he came to pick me up rather than make me drive to him, and he brought me inside to meet his mom and I think she wanted him to marry me on the spot haha. Was all gushy and stuff, so I was like ok....haha.

Meeting his extended family, I don't remember when it was exactly, but I know it was at a party, they have tons of parties, and everyone was so nice to me. I guess I had a good experience. FH on the other hand was probably scared shiz-less, since my mom didn't like him in the beginning (not him per se, just that he was the first bf to come to the house) and was a little mean, and my father tried to intimidate him and my nana can come off weird haha.

I first met FH's parents one day at their house when stopping by really quick..I remember it being awkward because I wasn't really ready to meet them.. and his uncle was there who was nice. Then FH and I broke up for a while. Then one day I went to a party and FH and his whole family was there and his uncle was like (as loud as he could) 'Hey arent you the girl that john brought home once and never brought back!?' I was mortified and I told FH what his uncle said.. we actually started talking and hanging out again that night and realized that the reasons we broke up were SO silly and that we missed eachother.

The first time FH met my dad was funny...We were having a block party and FH was friends with my neighbor... FH and my dad were playing beer pong against eachother lol and my dad was so drunk and losing that he put a $100 on the table and his credit card and bet FH he would win. Well my dad lost... FH took his money and his credit card!!... but gave it back to him at the end of the night. lol We werent even dating then. This was before FH and I even started talking.

OMG I can't even really tell the story here about meeting FH's father b/c he would kill me. . but let's just say his father, who is a very sweet man but has not really been a part of DH's life, is a little off the beaten path and we went for dinner at their house in MN when DH was driving across the country to MOVE BACK TO BE WITH ME and I was on a work trip. . and well. let's just say he OVER OVER OVER shared. . including things that his wife who was sitting there DID NOT KNOW. . DH was just like 'um, please don't break up with me'

his mom is passed though and we are so sad i never got to meet her

his brother is great! I had him at super Mets fan. ..

The first time I met his family we had been dating for 3 weeks. We went to his house where they were celebrating his aunt's birthday. There were like 10 people there (he's one of 6 siblings) so I was SOOOO nervous! But it went well and I got the thumbs up

I first met FH's family after we had been dating about 6 months. His parents and his sister all live in FL. They come up for Thanksgiving every year. We spent Thanksgiving separately and then the Saturday after Thanksgiving his aunt had everyone over for dinner and I met the entire family (except for his sister and BIL) at that time. Aunts, uncles, cousins, grandfather, etc.

Nothing in particular jumped out at me so it's not really memorable.

Darren and I were dating for 2 months before I met his mom, and it wasnt till the day of prom. She was wonderful. It was also then when I was told his father passed away when he was 13. I felt horrible! Nobody ever talked about it, and his mom was always working so I hadnt even met her so I just thought he worked alot too....
