If you're willing to go with a cheaper rhinestone imitation (instead of swarovski crystals, etc), I saw some really pretty ones at Michael's the other night. (I was at the one in Huntington on route 110, right near the Whitman Mall, but they probably have them in others.) They were running around $40 each. Just look in the bridal section. They were silver plated with rhinestones, and I think some had fake pearls. Honestly, I don't think anybody will notice the difference between that and something 'real,' but that's just me.

Re: Tiara's
oh, and for me I'm thinking of going with something really simple and small, just to add a little sparkle, not some huge crown thing. I haven't started looking seriously yet... but I like the idea of maybe something with wire and crystals that's a little simpler, instead of completely covered with rhinestones like a lot of what you see... although those are pretty too, so I might go for a small version of one of those.

Re: Tiara's
You can find a very large variety at Barrons in the tri county flea matket. My friend got hers for about $100. As for myself i bought a Denise Leli tiara that was $600. I really would have gotten mine at Barrons but i fell in love with the Denise Leli one the moment i saw it-my mom did too!

Re: Tiara's
i got my tiara and veil from david's bridal when i got my dress...if you get your dress from david's they give you 15% off all your accessories..so i said why not..the tiara is pretty and it has swarvoski crystals on it..so that's probably why it cost what it did but i don't mind..its pretty and its mine!

Re: Tiara's
I cant decide whether I am going to go with pearls or diamonds (not the real kind, that would be wishful thinking) but I know that there are a lot of places along Broadway, like in the 30's in the city that have a very large selection and at great prices.

I'm not going to decide until I get a dress..for some reason...I have ear issues..I think if I wear a Tiara with my hair pulled up I think I will look like Dumbo

Re: Tiara's
I made mine! I found a website based in Ireland that makes tiaras, crowns, etc out of silver wire and beads. So I designed my own and started twisting wire!
