Ticketmaster vent- Unbelievable!!

NJ Nets playoff tickets went on sale today at 9 am. O was ready and waiting and literaly at 9:01 they were all sold out!!!!!! I just find it hard to believe. Anyone know of any other sites I can check out for NBA tix. i really wanted to get them for FI and I Thanks.

Karina you should have asked before hand I would have given you my secret to buying tickets! You have to be on the phones and on ticketmaster.com at the same exact time. I always get my tickets using these two sources AND having a friend or FH do it with me at work. You have to have 2 windows open on the same page right before you can choose the desired concert/game or whatever. This is how I got subway series tix, marc anthony tix (3x), world series tix, last year's Nets playoff tix to all the home games. I even once was able to get Final Four tix for FH but I never got them b/c he couldn't go. Also the another way to get tickets if you are at work and have a dialer phone. I have 3 lines at work on my own phone so that helped too.

Another thing, tickets may still be available. People's cc don't have enough credit, the Meadowlands releases tickets. Any event NEVER releases all the tickets at once. Also the promotion tickets that are released to networks, corps... some get sent back b/c are not used up, so you still have a chance. Try again in an hour, around lunch again around 2 keep trying.

I have posted this before but I truly believe the Attorney General of the United States should investigate Ticketmaster They have a monopoly and their monopoly effects everyday citizens all over this country. There is NO way that ALL of the tickets are gone in less than 60 seconds. I believe that they allow insiders to purchase tickets, employees to use the system and just don't have enough phone operators thus making sure that their 'friends' can all the tickets they want.

Scott told me that each NBA team is given hundreds of playoff tickets PLUS corporate sponsors like Nike are given a ton and the season ticket holders get first pick so there are not many left for the general public.

We all have to remember that Sport playoff are NOT for fans but rather for people with big money. Very sad!!

My ex-boyfriends father is head lawyer for the NBA players union and he got free tickets all the time and as however many he wanted.

I too find it hard to believe all the tickets sold out in 60 seconds. I could understand 5 minutes, 10 minutes, but 60 seconds.

I do like CW, I have 2 phone lines, road runner, my parents and friends and we always get through for tix. So its just about being very persistant and having lots of connections

as much as ticketmaster is a rip-off...i think its the ticketbrokers that buy them all up...I don't know how...but they probably have a deal with the stadiums...
