Tiered or Stacked Cakes

Tiered or Stacked Cakes

it seems as though most people have chosen to go with stacked cakes... Is anyone doing a tiered cake? fh wanted to do a tiered cake but i am thinking a stacked may look nicer. Anyone have any thoughts?

I like the stacked better. If I did a tier, it would only be the top layer and the rest would be stacked. But I think the stacked looks more elegant.

My cake is going to be somewhat like these. Each piece is on a different stand.

I'm doing both. The top layer will be on the tier and the rest will be stacked.

I am doing a stacked. I'm not sure why, I like tiered cakes, but the one I liked for my wedding is stacked.

We did stacked, I do like tiered though if there are flowers in between each tier so you don't see empty spaces.

I'm leaning towards the stacked cakes. IMO the tiered cakes look a little dated. But I like the new twist on the tiers with each cake on it's own stand.

I'm doing stacked. I don't really care for the stands posted in the above pics. I do love how it looks when there are flowers between the tiers though
