Hi All! I am really liking Timber Point and I initially looked at it because so many of you have been saying the prices are reasonable...but the quotes I got from them were pretty high I thought, and they are not budging on price! We're looking for a Sat night (also considering Fri nt) and was wondering if anyone would mind sharing quotes they have gotten from them please!! FM please Thank you

I am booked with them and although when I booked I got 2010 pricing, I found they were in line with a lot of other RH's except when you went out of season. They dropped the price significantly for picking a Nov date over a Sept or Oct date. HTH & Good luck!

Did you go to lessings.com and did you look at their flyer? They usually have specials. They also have other places to get married as well. If you wanted to check them out.

Oh if you are set on getting married there. I would wait a little bit. When they can't book the hall for a certain date they will offer it at a lower rate to just fill the date. That I have seen with many halls. If you are not set on the specific date.

I think we got quoted 98pp including tax and tip for a Sat night, which is considerably less than the other venues we looked at. in the end i just didn't like that the backup plan for rain was the dance floor

Definitely check out the fliers... The last one I saw was price cuts for certain dates, something like 75 and 85 inclusive of tax and tip.

they had some good 2012 rates but we need 2013 unfortunately!

Our quote was a bit high (priced for the beginning of September 2013), and we weren't too thrilled with the food options for the price, but we loved the venue too. It's so nice. Wait around because shortly after we went there I got an email from Miriam with price cuts and 'deals' with add-ons if booked by the end of the month. We had already decided on The Venetian by then though.

How many people you having? I am very surprised that the price quote was so high. For us, a Sunday Twilight, they came in $20pp cheaper than anyone else. And everyone else was making us have the morning wedding which I didn't want. When they heard how many people we wanted is when everything changed.
And Jason is AMAZING to work with!!!!!

you said before that you liked the Venetian, you should try to work a price with them, we told them our round about budget and they came up with options based on what we wanted and was actually below what we said we'd max on spending. We got one actually cheaper than what Timber Point quoted us, and an AMAZING food selection.
just called them..they quoted higher than timber point and said they couldn't come down to our budget

Hey -- I'm booked at Timber Point for a Sat night in April. Since I booked a couple months ago, I'm sure the pricing is the same as you received. My dad and I tried to negotiate a little bit...but not for the price...we wanted more food options! They wouldn't budge with that. They did accomodate us by lowering the minimum and pushing up the time by an hour. One of the managers was there, too, and he gave us some discounted prices for the 'extras,' but they didn't 'throw' anything in, as I was hoping. I think when you're dealing with a Saturday night in a prime wedding time (like may-october), they're less likely to budge because they are probably pretty confident that they'll fill that date with someone elses party if you don't book with them.
My dad and I decided to book with them, even though they wouldn't give us the more food options because we still thought that it was such a nice place and the prices were lower for a Sat night than other places. I know that Lessings has a great reputation for their food, and that's important too. I went to a showcase there a couple of months ago and my love for the place was just reaffirmed. The food tasted great and the space just looked so homey and warm..which is what FH and I first loved about it.
You can wait a little while to see if they offer you extras, but then you just run the risk of losing out on the place. If you really love it, I'd say stay with it :)

Also, check out Bellport Country Club! I'm pretty sure their Friday night prices are considerably lower than Sat. And they threw in everything i asked for, for free! They are great.

will def do that, thank you! Timber Point finally got back to me but with a friday night quoote that was the same as your saturday night quote!
