where are you arranging the dance floor?
i originally was going to keep it near the fireplace, but im having second thoughts because it will be far away from a lot of people. one part of me thinkks that good (think older relative who dont want to be near music) but then i feel people will think we put them far away on purpose. cant win either way lol!
most importantly, i want everyone to feel a part of the wedding and up and dancing and having fun. im jus not sure the middle will be big enough with the way the columns are arranged.
any ideas/thoughts?

I'm going to have it in the front by the fire place but kind of long, more in the center. I guess the tables will make kind of a horse shoe around the dance floor. I also want to center it under the prettier parts of the ceiling. Don't you wish you could crash a wedding there to see how it all goes?

i want to go there again and plan it all out.
i havent done a tasting yet, so maybe when we do that ill walk around again and figure it out. i also want to see there lighting once it's dark out so i can choose a color. im thinking pink but i really want to see it in person.
let's keep in touch with ideas!

I'm planning to do a similar arrangement as Nicole. I only have 9 tables, and I'd rather have the back area (near the bar) empty, so that the tables are closer to the dance floor. We might get a photo booth, and that will be at the back across from the bar. I personally love the fireplace, and definitely want our dance floor by the fireplace.
We did our tasting at Timber Point, and we LOVED the food! I kinda wanna go back for another tasting, the steak was so good!

I just got married at Timber Point. We only had 10 tables, so we decided to put all the tables to the right when u walk in and then have a very large dance floor on the left. We had a band so we liked them being in the corner to the left by the window when u walked in and not taking room up on the dance floor. Initially we had wanted to put all the tables along the windows and then on the right and leave the center of the room open as well as the fireplace area, but the columns made that very awkward. I had a photobooth and put it right next to the bar area and that was perfect!!
Any other questions, feel free to ask! Everything was great that day and the guests had a blast!

thanks everyone!
i think we're going to have 16 or 16 tables.. and im thinking the oval.
i think im going to try to keep the tables to the right (as you walk in), with a pathway leading to the left where the fireplace and dj will be. i want to put a few highboy tables around the dancefloor too so that people can hang out even if theyre not dancing.
we shall see.

My sister had her dance floor in the corner by the fireplace and it worked out perfectly, it wasn't empty for one second the entire night! If my sister hadn't gotten married there I would have loved to have booked there.

I went to a wedding there and they had the dance floor by the fireplace as well. It worked out fine, but it was very tight (she also had over 200 people).

Just had our wedding there Sunday. We ended up with the ceremony inside in front of the fireplace. We had them cover the mirror so that it would not ruin the pictures during that time. We had the dance floor in that area on the left as well. We had the DJ set up on that side by the windows. Photobooth by the bar. It worked well as I was able to put the older guests further away frim the dance floor. No complaints from any guests.
The staff did a great job with recommendations as well.
