I was wondering if anyone has any reviews or have been to a wedding at Timberpoint cc. I was interested in booking

Re: Timberpoint?

I've heard good things about Timberpoint. We went there to check it out as well, and the BM (Ben, I think) was the nicest guy ever. My friends who got married there several years ago were very happy with them.

I thought the place was really nice, but the only two 'negatives' were that the dance floor is all the way in the front of the room, and if CH is outside, you get a lot of golfers around, b/c its right on the 18th hole. Not big things, but just thought I'd mention them.

I went to a wedding there in June....the place is pretty but a few things that I did not like were that there was not alot of food at the cocktail hour (however, I am sure that you can upgrade), and the dance floor was in the corner so no one was dancing all night...some tables were 4 or 5 deep and no one could even see the dance floor. However, the food was very good (but again, there was only salad then entree, no appetizer). The cake was not good at all.

I should also mention that we checked out Timberpoint and I felt that for the price that I would have paid there (with upgrades) I could have gotten alot more for my $ elsewhere - Miller Place Inn, Chateau La Mer, East Wind, etc.

I checked it out & I really loved it. It didnt go well with my date though. If you are having a summer wedding I think the coctail area is great. JMO

I checked it out for my wedding. One reason I did not choose it was because I didn't like the idea of guests walking through the dining room to get to the cocktail hour.

I have been to weddings like that in the past and the guest grab their place cards and dump all the stuff they are carrying at their seats, so by the time the last guest walks through the room no longer looks 'elegant' and made up. Instead it looks like the end of the wedding at the beginning.

There are however some amazing spots there for photos.
