Hi, I am new here and was wondering if there were any other TimberPoint brides out there! I saw several other posts about it and wanted to hear about experiences people have had with them, what vendors you are using, etc. TIA!

Hi there! I'm getting married there in June of 05'. So far I've heard all great things about it... we're going for a tasting this week. I don't really know a lot about their vendors - I'm using outside ones (not sure yet about the in house florist). If you have any questions, feel free to FM me. The rennovations so far are beautiful - the outside patio is supposed to be done by May -should be beautiful. :)

Thanks! I read through the official thread. btrflygrl, I read you said not to deal with Lenore? I am a little worried because I did sign my contract with her--she swore they always make you pay for vendor meals, and now I am hearing they waived that for some people. Did they waive that for you, or is that an area they usually don't budge on? We are going to the open house tonight to see the renovations--I can't wait! Your wedding there looked beautiful!

I'm having my reception there this June (June 12th to be exact). Let me know if you have any questions. As for vendor meals, my understanding is that if you use any of their recommended vendors (photo/video or DJ/band), you are not charged for their meals. But if you use an outside vendor, they charge you half-price for their meal (I have to double check the contract for sure). FM if you have any other questions. Inever experienced Lenore, so I can't help you with that.

VENDOR MEALS: house vendors are free, outside vendors are half-price
I just didn't like Lenore...I had an easier time getting my point across to Ben and Michael. I wanted to skip the included c-pieces and she talked down to me about my decision...ugh.
VERY IMPORTANT: clarify whether the 1/2 price vendors and children COUNT towards your final head count...they did not clarify this with me and I almost came up short!!! I argued that no one had made me aware of this so Ben let it go....my 12 half price meals counted towards my head count.

Stay away from Lenore, she messed one of my payments up. I made it clear to Ben and Michael I will only deal with one of them.

I am so glad there are so many of the TimberPoint brides out there! I worked a bit with Lenore, but didn't find her too helpful. What vendors is everyone using (photographers, florist, etc.)?

I'm using TGIF for the DJ (they seemed the easiest to work with - I'm not into flashing lights or smoking dance floors at ALL ). I checked out one of the 2 of their recommended photo/video places, but went with someone different (the other one was booked a year in advance - wow!) I'm only using M&F (their florist) for the centerpieces and reception decorations - I went with someone else for bouquets and church decorations and such. Lenore is not helpful. She gives the wrong prices. Just bypass her, she is useless. Sorry if I sound harsh, but I don't like wasting my time and getting wrong information.
If you check my profile you can see the vendors I am using. I am about to book my florist.

So far the only vendor I've booked is photo/video - I'm using Imagine (not one of their vendors). I'm looking into DJ's right now... I may use M&F for the centerpieces but I haven't met with them yet so I really don't know...it's worth it to check out though. :) gilgo31 - was m&f easy to work with, flexible at all? Just curious....

Did anyone go to the showcase last night? I went--they said the patio and new outside chairs will definitely be finished April or May. It looks great inside!
