Time

I have already been engaged for one year and still have a year until the wedding Please tell me that time goes fast!

Time does go by fast.... but my suggestion.. dont plan everything ASAP... space it out a bit so you have something to do. I find that ppl tend to book vendors right away then are left months before their wedding with nothing left to do so they get into a slump and then it starts to drag.

what types of vendors can I wait on? I have booked the photo/video and DJ. They were booking up fast.

I think time will go by fast..I hope...I got married on Valentines Day and I still have a year and a half to go. When I see how much money I need to save up that makes me want to slow the clock down. Just enjoy being engaged.

its weird bc everybody says time flies but both my FH and I (engaged 18 mos) both think time has never passed so slowly in our lives! we're so excited to finally be married that it cant get here quick enough. sorry! i agree - space out the planning just dont save to much til the end (like us!)

Thanks Hearz! I really hope it is true because I really am starting to get a little crazy waiting. My advice do not wait two years everyone. It can drive you nuts!

I will be engaged 2 1/2 years by the time I get married. I did not think it would ever get here but now that I have less than 4 months to go, I can not believe that it is hear already.

Yes it does go fast! My engagement will be 2 years... right now I only have 4 months to go

i thought i wanted a long engagement but in the end it drove me nuts!
things not to leave til the end:
the guest list - even if its 90% finished get every single address finished way before the invites need to go out bc the additional 10% can hold you up (unless your FH is organized - mines not)
hair & makeup trials
any little extras like gathering pictures (we did a video for the rehearsal dinner that stressed me like crazy out this week!)
all the little extras can fill the time and make it go fast though!
