time

I wrote 11am on the invite but the ceremony was actually going to start @ 11:30.
But now I think I should start closer to 11.
The CH starts @ 1. It's only 5 minutes from the church but it's still not a lot of time in between for receiving line & pictures.
I was thinking of cutting out the RL but my family might think it's rude.
What do you girls think? Start @ 11 or keep it at 11:30? Cut out the receiving line?

If you cut the RL- be sure to drop by each table to say hi to your guests. As a guest- Im relieved when there isn't a RL- but thats my opinion and not meant to offend anyone.

I would start at 11 and give yourself the extra time for pics and the receiving line. Plus, as a guest, I'd be annoyed if I showed up on time for an 11:00 ceremony only to have to wait a 1/2 hour for it to start.

Even if you do a RL, you should stop by every table during the party to say hello to your guests. I think both are required!

ETA - And I would start at 11. Many guests get very annoyed when they show up on time and the bride is 30 minutes 'late' - or more....

i totally agree. a half hour to wait is rude and wasteful. i would be p issed. and you absolutely have to greet everyone at the hall.

You should estimate 1 hour to 1:15 minutes before you get out of the ceremony following the receiving line and pictures at the ceremony location.
