Time between ceremony and reception
Time between ceremony and reception
We will have about an hour and 15 mins between the end of the ceremony and the cocktail hour. Which means I will only have an hour for photos, and don't worry about the guests they will figure out what to do. Once I went to a wedding upstate and there was 2 or 3 hours between ceremony and RH and we went to McDonalds then back to hotel to have cocktails.

Re: Time between ceremony and reception
Guests figure it out. We have a wedding in Aug in the city and the ceremony is at 3 reception at 7...We have no idea what we are going to do but as guest we realize we have to figure it out.
Time between ceremony and reception
The ceremony is 15 20 minutes from the church. I think that I'll just recommend that out of state guests drive straight to the ceremony and then they can check in and freshen up in between. Those who come from local areas can go to the hotel bar and relax and have a drink as well. I think I'll try to set something up at the hotel but I might be able to get a portion of the RH for guests for those hours too ... At this point u have to just go with what I want because I'll regret not giving us enough time for pictures if I care about what everyone else wants
Time between ceremony and reception
My friend had 2 hours between her ceremony and reception. I ended up going to a diner and getting coffee with one of my friends. Local guests will figure out what to do. I think it's fine if you provide info on some places out of town guests can go to pass the time.
Time between ceremony and reception
My church is at 3 pm and my cocktail hour is going to start at 730. Im wondering if I should change the time of the church.
Time between ceremony and reception
our mass ceremony is at 2; reception at 6 pm. im not really worried about guests finding stuff to do. after all, we're getting married on black friday - maybe they can go shopping?! we included information with an app on our website about places to go locally to kill time (weddingwire had this). i just hope our guests dont get stuck in bad shopping traffic...ugh.

Re: Time between ceremony and reception
My church ceremony starts at 3:00 and the reception doesn't start until 7:00. They'll have a few hours in between but I'm not worried. I've attended weddings like this before. I either went home and changed for the reception or went out to a bar to kill time.
Time between ceremony and reception
I love my time. I have a 4 p.m. ceremony and 6 p.m. hospitality hour but if I didn't then I agree that guests would figure it out. Some might even go home and change into their evening wear and some guests might stop at their hotel to change or freshen up! Some of my guests might do that and skip hospitality and go to cocktail hour only. They'll know what to do!
Time between ceremony and reception
My ceremony is at 3 and my cocktail hour is at 7. So guests will have like 3 hours between the ceremony and cocktail hour. They will figure it out :)
Time between ceremony and reception
My ceremony is at 3 and my cocktail hour starts at 7:30pm. Most of the guests will probably go home to get changed or go to my parents house to just hang out and have refreshments. The church, RH and my parents house are in the Babylon and W. Babylon so its super close.
