Time for an update...

Hey Girls!

Sorry I have been so out of touch lately and not really posting. Post-wedding life has not been the greatest since we have been back...

Things at work are awful. My first day back on the job I was threatened of being fired. The next day I got a bigger office and a larger workload. Then this week I was told that they will be firing two employees and I will be taking on 100% of both of those employees' workloads and I will be working 50-60 hr work weeks at no additional pay because our company is failing. One employee is considered a temporary lay off while the other one is a complete firing. This is occurring because of the economy. Our partners have not taken a pay check home in MONTHS. Yes that is correct, Months. So things are very down and stressful here. But I just have to be thankful that I have a job and that I have DH and our home and he has a job. I am just trying to concentrate on the positives. I feel like a dark cloud has been hovering for almost two months now and I am praying it lifts soon. So sorry I have been so incommunicado. I hope you all got to see the pro pics link that I posted awhile ago.

We are going to start our Thank You's this weekend and start picking our album pics and layout from our proof books, which already came in and are STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so thrilled! We are also going to make a trip to the Humane Society to start looking at puppies to complete our family and bring lots of joy! Anyways, how is everyone else doing??

Sorry to hear things are so bad at your job. I keep hoping the economy will turn around, but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen any time soon.

I hope at least a new puppy will bring joy!

Seriously, how could somebody go into work for MONTHS and never get paid? Despite the economy, I'd say a big SAYONARA after a month of not seeing my hard work rewarded.

I think they are the owners! When its your company you do what you need to do to survive. I think its really awesome that they took the cut & didnt fire people those months ago instead & still had themselves paid. So kudos to those guys for trying to keep peoples jobs & doing teh right thing. I understand all of this since as an Asst. Comptroller I have shut down 3 companies. Its not fun.

So Jess all i can say is keep thinking positive. At least they consider you able enough to do this task. Im sure once the cloud has lifted they will compensate you. However, just make sure you get your resume ready & out there ASAP.

man. i'm so sorry to hear about your stresses at work. i can definitely relate. it's such a heavy burden. i'm praying right along with you for the dark cloud to shove off!

besides that, i'm happy to hear all your good news! how exciting! a PUPPY!! what kind are you getting? can't wait to see pics!
