time for pictures -- does photojournalism take less time than traditional?
It seems a lot of people are asking about how much time it takes for pictures today. So here's another question . . .
We went with 2 photographers -- one traditional and one photojournalist b/c FH hates taking pictures. And I thought the photojournalist would be able to get lots of candid shot.
(In fact we only have 1 1/2 hours between church and DH b/c he said he would not be able to tak pictures for any longer. And I'm beginning to think that I was silly to listen to his objection, but the invitations have already been printed. . .
)
Anyway . . . can past brides who have had photojournalists weigh in on this? Does it matter if you are having a photojournalist?
Are there good ways to speed up the process without pissing anyone off???

It's not really the pj that takes time, it's the traditional shots that take more time. A photojournalist will typically be snapping hundreds of shots all day regardless of whether or not you are posing, that's the whole point.
The time you need is for the traditional shots and to get pictures with the most important people...sometimes just getting a hold of them and getting them to sit still long enough for a picture is the problem.
Don't let your FH bully you into cutting the picture taking short. I've said before, I'll say it again. You only get one chance to do these pictures and at the end of the big day, the pics are all you have left....so give yourself plenty of time.
Also if you are rushing and pissy through them, there won't be many good one to pick from for the album so whip him into shape dammit -- it's ONE day. All he's gotta do is be nice and smile for the pics for ONE DAY! It's the least he can do for his bride, no?
